Coastwrights' coast

West of the Greenwarden, on a rocky coast, stand the fishing villages of the Coastwrights, about three thousand people tolerated by the Waheli because they never enter the trees. Since cutting a tree is death, they build their boats from driftwood only. They trade with the Salt Brotherhood, with Castavar's Tandosa and with the Waheli of Moss Harbor, a western sea-trade nobody in Castavar knows about, and they keep the faith of the Salt-Sworn. They would be Castavari subjects if Castavar could reach them by land, and it cannot, except through Aldmere's passes and the Waheli's forest, which is to say not at all.
