Ienvaune

A city of Caelvenne's southeastern shore and villa country, and a meeting of roads: one runs to Solvaine, another east to Pioclaure and Larvir, and a third south to Feshfaan and Mazbaaran. One of the three Marrowmere League cities of the Lake Treasury, it suffered the Burning of Ienvaune in 271, when Claupiose's galleys fired its harbor and two thousand died. Today it is where the Nine Houses spend the summer, among vineyards and nightingales, away from Solvaine's midges. Its pastries are famous enough that Caelvenne's ambassador in Hethlend uses them to sweeten Aldmere's Lord Chancellor Ownirel.
