Lake Shorooq

A shallow salt lake at the end of the Talodin, with salt pans, flamingo flats and the Khaasar's summer palace at Vonteen-Shorooq. In the Long Drought of 330–338 it shrank to a salt pan. Thousands of flamingos feed on its red brine shrimp, striped hyenas laugh on its shores, and tamarisk grows along its edge. Each spring the girl who walks the Talodin ends her journey here.
