Thalmirn

Thalmirn is the chief town of the Northmere, on the north shore of Lake Surmave, where the east road from Hethlend meets the road from Chomtholk and Lultolor. In 1127 it suffered the Hrodvald raid on Thalmirn, the last great raid of the Great Winter's aftermath; Duke Minthor Durift took the long scar across his face from a Hrodvald axe there, and Stelest Kruman Ironjaw lost an eye to a spear. The raid finally drove the crown to fortify Lulstat and the Northmere. The Hrodvald sing their own saga of the Battle of Thalmirn. Thalmirn's new dikes are now draining the Northmere marshes and the Marsh Reeds with them.
