Lake Tsenkin

A deep, cold mountain lake in the Tsenkin Highlands, site of the Emperor's archive-city at its southern end. Its shoreline collapsed in the earthquake of 890, taking the villages of the Old Tsenkin with it. The lake's brightly colored mandarin ducks pair for life and are a wedding symbol; every pair is said to be a couple who did not look at each other too long, as the fisherman looked at the Crane Bride. The Tsenkin sturgeon lives in its depths, and on the map the River Muhau flows out of it to the east.
