The Barerk Coast

The northeast whaling coast of Clan Barerk, home of the Barerk Whalers: about four thousand mixed Hrodvald, descendants of the Shanyo fishers who fled the sack of 763, and Uusung who came south. They whale in open boats, speak a creole, worship the sea, and have begun electing their own Harpoon-Master. The coast is also home to Salt-Sworn and Sun-Turners; Kruman Ironjaw burned a Sun-Turner lamp-house here in 1140.
